Аннотация
Статья посвящена анализу идеологической борьбы между Римом и Карфагеном в период Второй Пунической войны. В условиях древнего общества она получила религиозное оформление путем использования широко известного в Средиземноморье цикла мифов о Геракле. Пропагандистское оформление похода Ганнибала в Италию было связано с актуализацией десятого подвига Геракла, действие которого разворачивалось на территории северной Африки, Иберии и Италии. В литературе достаточно давно было обращено внимание на то, что начальный этап похода Ганнибала в Италию совпадает с маршрутом так называемого «пути Геракла», в частности, предполагающего пересечение альпийских перевалов, что позволяло провести прямые параллели между Ганнибалом и Гераклом. Основным содержанием пропагандистской кампании Карфагена стала персонификация Ганнибала, в том числе через чеканку монеты, в качестве нового Геракла и освободителя Италии. Это показывает, что религиозные образы и сюжеты в годы войны подвергаются многочисленным трансформациям и переосмыслению, играя роль идеологического оружия в борьбе за симпатии и лояльность населения Италии.
