Аннотация
В статье рассматривается комплекс оборонительных сооружений городов юго-западной Фригии – Гиераполя, Лаодикеи и Колосс (Хон). Эти три города образуют важный региональный урбанистический узел. Выявляются основные типы оборонительных сооружений – стены, ворота, башни и предположительно кастрон в Гиераполе. Раскрываются основные принципы, которые легли в основу строительства фортификационных сооружений упомянутых городов. Выявляются дополнительные факторы и условия, повлиявшие на оборонительную застройку и на топографию городов в целом. Характеризуются пути получения ресурсов для строительства укреплений в период Поздней античности. Отдельное внимание уделяется декоративным элементам, определяющим уникальный внешний облик сооружений данной плеяды фригийских городов. Приводится историческая линия развития городов юго-западной Фригии в период Поздней античности – Ранней Византии.
