Abstract
The article deals with the analysis of feminine gender-specific titles in the Nağaybäk language as representatives of the worldview fragment of a small indigenous people of the Southern Urals. Taking into consideration thematic, semantic, and morphological characteristics of the language units denoting femininity, the author concludes that initially, unmotivated lexical units prevailed, which, being polysemous, conveyed age-related and hierarchical characteristics of female individuals in the Nağaybäk family. The shift in paradigms during the Soviet period had an impact on the system of Nağaybäk feminine gender-specific titles. During this time period, in the Nağaybäk language appeared new lexemes naming women for their occupations, professions, social positions and ranks.
