Abstract
The article considers the latest issue of the national epigraphic chronicle, which has been published annually in the journal “Aristey” since 2012. Any bibliographic chronicle is useful, it is desirable that it is also highly professional. Out of the 66 articles reviewed in the 2018 chronicle, 40 are satisfactorily informative and 26 are uninformative. a Review of the chroniclers’ informative comments shows that many articles and inscriptions could have been considered better, both in terms of textual content and commentary. The author gives a critical review of a number of lapidary inscriptions and graffi ti published in 2017, suggests their optimized textual structure, Dating, and commentary – this is the main content of the article. The basic principles on which the epigraphic chronicle should be based are formulated.
